Magnetic flux indicator
Magnetic flux indicators are used to confirm that all required test parameters, including lighting, intensity, and direction of the field, magnetic particle properties, and coverage, are sufficient to detect surface cracks equal to or larger than those built into the indicator.
Each indicator contains three milled slots with widths of .0075", .009", and .010" sharing a common depth.
The indicators are made from permeable magnetic steel sandwiched between two brass plates and designed for repeated use in indicating the direction of the magnetic field in both wet and dry MPI applications.
They can be used with fluorescent particles, visible wet (black and white) particles, as well as dry particles (with or without contrast).
They can also be used with AC/DC magnetization, with longitudinal or circular fields.
