Maintenance of gammagraphy devices

Radiographic projection devices (gamma graphy) and associated equipment must be regularly inspected and maintained by trained and qualified personnel designated by the manufacturer to ensure the constant and safe operation of the radiographic system.

Algerian regulations require regular maintenance of gamma graphy systems. Furthermore, a systematic maintenance program will extend the lifespan of the radiographic projection device and ancillary equipment and ensure safety during operation.

Routine inspection and maintenance aim to ensure that Type B (U) -96 and Type A devices are well maintained and comply with international approval and certification requirements such as USA/9296/B (U) -96 and CDN/E199/-96 (or equivalents).
